Spring–fall: open water and current areas when bait is present.
Often mixed in reports with white bass schools, so identify carefully.
Winter: deeper if present.

Low light and bait blitzes, the same windows as white bass when schools are up.

Public points and creek banks shared with white bass. No secret pins.
